Frequently asked questions
About us
What is Blueberry Bear Organics?
A Queensland online marketplace for certified organic food. Independent organic growers, makers, shops and co-ops list their products; you browse and order from them in one place.
Can I buy right now?
Not yet. This is a preview: shops and products are sample data and no payments are processed.
Organic and certification
Is everything really certified organic?
Yes, that's our one rule. We check every seller's certificate against their certifier's public register before their shop goes live.
Which certifiers do you accept?
Accredited Australian certifiers including ACO Certification Ltd, Southern Cross Certified (SXC), Organic Food Chain (OFC) and the Bio-Dynamic Research Institute (Demeter). Others are checked case by case.
Isn't "organic" always certified in Australia?
No. Domestic food can be called organic without a certificate, as long as the claim isn't misleading. That's why we show each seller's certifier, certificate number and expiry date.
I've seen a NASAA logo. Is it still valid?
NASAA Certified Organic (NCO) closed in 2025 and its operators moved to other certifiers. We ask sellers for their current certificate from their new certifier.
What if I think a listing isn't organic?
Tell us through the Contact page. We pause the listing within 24 hours of a credible report while we check.
Ordering and delivery (planned)
Can I order from several shops at once?
Yes. Each shop packs and sends its own part, so you may get more than one delivery, each with its own fee.
Where do you deliver?
Queensland only at launch. Chilled and frozen food comes only by seller local delivery or click & collect. See the Shipping policy.
How do I pay?
By card through a secure payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
Problems and refunds
My order arrived damaged, spoiled or wrong.
Contact us as soon as you can, ideally within 48 hours, with your order number and a photo. You'll get a refund or replacement where the product isn't of acceptable quality or doesn't match its description. See the Returns policy.
Can I return food because I changed my mind?
Generally no, for food-safety reasons, unless the seller's shop says otherwise.
